What is faith?

Faith is compelling reasons for believing without seeing. The faith that everyone most have has to be wiht believing in God. It is the real faith for me because this is believing without seeing. I believe that there is a God in Heaven because he had helped me in my ways and sometimes i can feel his presence when i am talking to Him. Other none religious people have another definition for faith. They may believe that faith is just trusting in somebody else words without having any prove of them. But most of the people think about faith only in terms of God.

Free will

Religious people believe in free will because they think that God gave us the right to make our own decisions, but at the end we will end up whenever He wants us to end up. This is a argument that many people fight about because it would not be free will if at end we will end up in the place that he wants us to end up. Human been have the right to make their own decisions but they have to know that they are going to pay the result of their decesions. Other people do not believe in free will, like me. I do not believe in free will because i believe that my life in God hands and he is my guide. Other people believe that free will have to with desires. They believe that you make your decisions following your desires and instin as a human been. The people that believe this way always do what their heart tells them to do.

What is Buddhism?

Buddhism is a way of practice spiritual development to help to find the meaning of the true nature. Buddhism does not believe that we have a soul or "self" because they believe that everything is life dies or decay. They do not believe in any kind of God neither. The believe that everything that a person do has its consecuences. Buddhism is so different from another religions, principally because they do not believe in a God, that it is questionable if it is a religion or not. Buddhism taught that believing in gods was not helpful because then people would not find the enlightment.

Julia's question is if i would like to be immortal?. I don't think that i would like to live forever. I would not like to live forever because all my family and friends would not be alive with my and i feel like everything would be so boring and sad at the same time. I think that live would not be the same without my family and my lovely friends. I feel like my family is everything for me and without them i would feel death anyways. Another reason why i would not like to be immortal is because i may get bored of the world itself. I think that if i live to long i would get tired of all the troubles, war, and sadness that the world have inside. People get tired even of the beauty and i think that everyone have to born and then die, it is just live.

According with Darwin , he stopped believing in God when he found out his theory of evolution because he started having doubt about the Bible and how the world was create. As the book Who Are We by Louis P. Pojman, " Darwin himself, though trained as clergyman, was deeply trouble by the problem of evil, which caused him to doubt his faith and eventually, but reluctantly give up belief in God." He said that this where evil starts when we as human start think about stories like religions and others. Evil can be the creativity and all the stories or capacity that humans have to create them. Another thing that went wrong was that human started walking upright. But this have consequences like back pain, trouble breathing, and even stomachs problem. Between the years humans being have been developing and it has it advantages but disadvantages too.

Karla's question is, Do you think that humanity will get to a point at which nature will stop to exist?. i think that in the universe there is going to get to a point where t many humans being are going to be living at the same time. I mean there is only a certain amount of weight that the universe can hold and on top of that the nature resources are not going to be enough to sostain the whole universe. Right now we can notice that some countries do not have the enough food to sustain their own country, for example Africa, where many people die yearly a cause of the hunger. I think that when we stop having food, which i think that we are not to far from this to happen, human beings are going to start dying slowly but at the end all people will die.

Darwin Theory of Evolution

Darwin theory of evolution states that all human life comes from our ancestors like species that were here billions of years before us like fishes and then the homo sapiens. Darwin made experiments and investigated about his theory about evolution. For example he used the fossil record, showing gradual development from simple life forms to more complex ones; the homologous structure of life forms; vestigial organs, such as the appendix and tailbone; and geographical similarities, he used all of this to prove his theory. The church was no happy with his theory because it putted in doubt the Bible and God words. People in this era started think that the Bible may no be true because the Bible does not have any prove about what it is saying but Darwin had prove about what he was saying.

A absurd thing of life

There are so many irrational things that people do in life or say; but there is one that really catch my attention and it is a phase that says that live your life at the fullest because you can die tomorrow or something like that i really don't know the exact words. If people think that way they may spend the day doing things that they like to do and say or the things that they want to say to the people that they love or people that they hate. I personally do not think this way because i truly do not believe in this phase. I think that people sure think first in their actions and things that they are going to do because you can hurt people or do things that you would regret the next day if you do not die as the phase says. I think that we should be cautious with the things that we say and do because it can have really bad results at the end.

Karla's questiong is if i would prefer to have a night without dreams, or night with dreams? and why? i think i would prefer to have a night without dreams. Everytime that i have dreams at night i feel like my brain was not resting, that it was working all the time and when i get up in the morning i feel like i did not sleep the last night at all. Even though the scientifics say that every night people have dreams even though they cannot remember it. So i think that i would prefer not to have dreams and if i have dreams not to remember them. I dont believe about the theories of dreams, they say that dreams are your wishes and fears but i dont thing that it is true but in another hand i dont have prove to prove it wrong. I think that dreams are your thoughts in you unconciousness that is why i think that human does not the mean of them because they are just thought that sometime does not even make sense for the people that think of them.

Infant Dreaming

I was investigating about infant dreaming by Freud but i did not find any information about it, i guess that Freud only wrote about adult dreaming. I am not surpresi about this because Freud was the first person in the world who wrote about dreams. I found information about infant dream in the Scince Maganize, they said that infants dreams more than adults because of the amount of sleeping that they spend during the day. The Science Maganize said, "As babies grow and their brains mature, the amount of time that they spend in the REM (rapid eye movement) state gradually decreases. The REM is directly linked to the brain development. A maturing brain needs less and less REM sleep. This is why adults dream less than babies." The Science Maganize said that there is not way to find out what babies dream about but they know that their dreams are more vivid and visual than the adults dreams.

Freud's Theory About Dream Repression

Freud theory of dream repression is all about repressing the ideas or thoughts that we dont want to think about or do it when we are awake in our lives. It is like when we do something wrong we dont want anybody to know about it, so during the day you act as nothing had happened and put it behind out head and dont think about but at night when we are sleeping we dream about because it is on our unconsciouness, and we cannot control our unconsciouness. Sometimes if we do something bad and we repress it in our memory at night we would have nightmares and sometime we would not going to be able to go to sleep well that night. All of this is a result of bad actions or bad things that had happened in somebody's life. Anothere dream repression may be something that we really want to do in our life but that we are unable to do it for any circuntances in our present life. We will dream about it and think about during the day so we are repressing the idea of doing this actions but at night when we are asleep with dream about it and it comes to life.

Dreams have been a great mistery in the world because no one can really tell what they mean. Many people tried to figure them out like Freud, his interpretation of dreams says that when we go to sleep with lose the control of our consciousness so we start dreaming about what we repress in our mind during the day. Fread says, " the interpretation of dreams is the royal road to knnowledge of the unconscious activities of the mind...A dream is a (disguised) fulfillment of a (supressed or repressed) wish." When i was a little kid my mom used to say that dreams are the way of our mind to express what we really want to be or do. I believe what my mom said and i believe in Freud theory of dreams too. Human always dreams about what they want to do or be, but sometimes humans have weird dreams that nobody knows the mean of them.

Misty question is if can people ever be truly content? I personally dont think that people could ever be truly happy because there is always something that is going to be missing. For example a rich person that everything material that a normal person would like but they may be missing love, health, or something else. The human been is always missing something in life, nobody is complety happy because if they were life would not make sense. As human been we always need something to motivate us to do better things and to be a better person, and if we have everything this motivation would not exist. I think that God made our life that way so anybody would be complety happy in this life because the Bible says that the complety happiness is in heaven when we die. I think that life is made up of happy moments but not happiness forever, and all of this is the puporse of God for us to look for him and to know that there is a perfect place to live where we wont need anything and a place where we are always going to be happy in the presence of God, that place is heaven.

What is wrong is Communism?

Communist was meant to everyone to have the same and earn the same amount of money, this mean that everybody was meant to have the same amount of money. Anybody were supposed to be rich or poor. This is a real problem because everybody would be in their house doing nothing because even if they dont work they were going to received the same amount of money that everybody else. And even if they had a job they would not have any motion to do better because no matter what they do they were going to received the same amount of money. Another thing that is wrong with communism is that the government controled anything of the people in the state.

I am answering Julia's questions about what will make me that most happy? i think that what will make me the most happy will be heath, my family, and my college career. Health because if i am healthy i will be able to do everything that i want to do for my future. I will be able to reach all my dreams and goals. My family because if i have my family everything is going to be ok, and if i have my family in my life i dont need anything but health. My college career because i would be able to help immigrant people because i want to be an immigrant lawyer. I would be able to able to give immigrants there legal papers and they will be able to work freely and live freely without worrying about getting cut by the police. What is Marx's analysis of religion?

Karl Marx's analysis of religion is that he did not believe in the normal religion, he wanted to make his own theory of religion. He thought that religion must be abolished because it was a threat to human progress. He believed that religion stop the progress of humans because they would focus themselves in God and not the society. Karl Marx said, "Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the sentimen of a heartless world, and soul of soulless conditions. It is the opium of the people". He thought that if people oppressed their insight creature of human nature they wont be able to think in a more thoughtfull way, human would put their beliefs first and not the way they really think about something. Human would do first what they think is right and not what their insight would tell them to do.

This is a response to Karla's question about if i think that liberty are the chains of our freedom. I dont think that our liberty is the chains of our liberty because liberty and freedom go hand by hand. Our chains in our society even though we are "free" are the rules and the poperty ownership that we have today in our society. We have chains because other people have more than other people, and because we live in a society that we own things in order to be more rich or to have something that belong to us.

Humans are selfish egoist, according to Hobbes. Humans are selfish because they almost all that time they just think about themselves. If a person is going to do something for you, they always think what they are going to get back out of it. The human nature theory of Hobbes says that although we were made in the image of God, we sinned and 'all our righteousness is like filthy rags'. We deserve God's wrath' or if one does not believe in God, we do not deserve an idylic life but, at best, to be alone by others. A person can be egoist if that person is seeing that someone is harm, if you are not feeling anything or no caring for that person, you are only think of yourself and not thinking about the other person feelings, that is beenn egoist and many humans are.

What you can do to be happy and a good person?

According to Aristole we will be able to build a Happiness Machine, where this machine may take us to a perfect life, we wont even know if it is reality or illusion and we will be happy the rest of our life. But there is a failure with this Happiness Machine, what would happen if people just wake up from the Happiness Machine and realize that everything was a lie? Well people would be really sad and disappoint becuase everything they thought it was a lie and that anything of that was reality. In the another hang you can be a good person by doing what a good person does, according to Aristotle, and you will reconize a good person once you see it. I think that human are born with the ability to reconize when something is good or bad, that why you can reconize a good person when we see what is that person doing, and we will be able to say if his or her actions are good or bad.

As human we tend to fall our hearts instead of our logic, but i think that it is better to use our logic instead of our feeling sometimes. Sometimes when humans use their logic things at the endo come out in a better way, when humans use their logic they think about the consequences of what is going to happen if they make that decission or not. But if humans use their feelings and follow their heart all the time maybe things are not going to have a really good outcome because we do not think about consequences when we think with our hearts. I do not think that is dull to use our logic when is come to think about things about our future and about our lifes.

This is a response for Bryan's question. I think that we can be describe by the roles in our society because what we do in our darily lives is what we are. For example i am a college student, if somebody ask someone else who is laura? that person may say she is a college student. What see true to you, though it contradicts what i believe, is true relative to you. in the same way, your pain is rue for you, and my pain is tryly painful for me. Humans are intimidated by the idea of predetermined fate because some people are afraid of the future. We dont know what the future has for us and when we get scare about the things that we dont know that can happen. In our discussion today in class i understood that u can be a christian without believing in God. This kind of "christians" believe that there is a God but a all poweful God. I personally dont believe this theory, i think that if you are a chritian you should believe in God in all the ways. I think that the only way to determinate the real theory of truth is by investigation is you are not sure about the statement or trusting your beliefs about the statement. To know the truth about any statement is kind of complacate becasue i may think that something is truth but other person may think that what i am saying is not truth, so that's why it is better to investigate about the truth of the statemente. Many people has diffrent beliefs about the truth of any statement and have differents opions, but i think that most of the people determine the truth of a statement with theirs beliefs.

First of all I have to define truth. The dictionary Treasures defines truth as the conformity with fact or reality. I think that it is good to tell the truth but it depends in the situation too. For example if I know that my dad is going to die in three days I would prefer not to tell him the truth because I know that he will suffer the last days of his life. Sometimes is good to know that whole thruth about something so will know how to manage the situation, but sometimes truth hurts people. Some people prefer to say the truth all the time becasue no matter what is the true at the end you will be doing the right thing, and if you lie and the other person finds out that you are lying the consequences may be worst. Other people think that if you say that truth all the time people may open their eyes to another reality and these people will look at the other people in a different way. But at the end is better to say the truth no matter what, even if the other person gets hurts.
